Terms and Conditions

Welcome to our (hopefully) friendly terms and conditions!

These T&Cs apply to all active Headline Channel subscribers and list out the terms, deliverables and schedules as a service contract between each Subscriber and Headline Channel.

Please take a quick moment (at least) to review these. Thank you for your business!

  1. DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, CONTENT, MARKETING, AND ANALYSIS
    1. Strategy: Headline Channel will work with Subscriber to determine and maintain a list of prioritized work items. The strategy will be refined on an ongoing basis.
    2. Current Site Access: Headline Channel needs access to current site for aggressive SEO analysis.
    3. Current Site Migration/Recreation: If the relationship with the Current Hosting Provider is to be ended, then migration (more accurately, a page-for-page re-creation) of the current main site must commence.
    4. Marketing Targets: Identify top practice areas, top geos, target demographics.
    5. Corporate Sites: Development and aggressive marketing of three new extensive and content-unique, practice-specific sites across disparate Class C Networks. Sites will be blocked from searches until completed.
    6. Blog: Creation of content-rich blog on new main site for SEO marketing.
    7. Technology: Sites will be built on a common tech platform with multi-level user access and a framework for extensions, customization, and integration with social media.
    8. Content: Creation, refinement, maintenance for all sites.
    9. Analysis: Ongoing site analysis – including technical, content, and design elements to help Subscribe sites achieve the highest rankings possible.
    10. Ongoing Services: In addition, all of the steps in the next two sections (Ongoing, Hosting) will be applied to each site as each becomes live. Once the social media presence is developed in the next phase, if not earlier, the sites will be integrated as appropriate.
  2. DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, CONTENT, MARKETING, AND ANALYSIS (ONGOING)
    1. Marketing: Marketing/promotion of all sites and blog individually, using common methods. Note: marketing and content of current site assumes ready access to suitable admin functions with the Current Hosting Provider or the re-creation of the site locally.
    2. Blog Content Creation: Ongoing blog articles for users, social media, and search engines.
    3. Site Content Creation: Ongoing lightweight content generation for all sites for users and search engines.
    4. Content Maintenance: Ongoing lightweight content spinning for all sites for users and search engines.
    5. Analysis: position analysis, reports on visibility, link popularity.
    6. Site-Specific SEO: Ongoing and aggressive SEO of all sites, maintenance of keywords, content, links.
    7. Geographical Marketing: Promotion through geo sites, geo-specific content and links.
    8. Link Management: Management of link building and exchange processes.
    9. Social Media Development: Technical development, presence across dominant platforms, more important after law network first built.
    10. Social Media Integration: Social media technology enhancements to all locally-hosted sites.
  3. HOSTING SERVICES
    1. Hosting: Hosting of new sites, and current site if migrated.
    2. E-Mail: Management of new e-mail accounts (local or forwarded).
    3. Support: 24/7 tech support, database/site backup, security monitoring, network monitoring.
    4. Multiple Networks: Each unique site will be hosted on a different Class C Network for SEO purposes.
  4. CIO SERVICES
    1. Online Initiatives: Assistance/consulting/telepresence for firm online technical decisions where appropriate.
    2. IT Initiatives: Assistance/consulting/telepresence for firm IT management decisions where appropriate.
    3. Marketing Initiatives: Assistance/consulting/telepresence for firm marketing initiatives (print, broadcast) where appropriate
  5. GENERAL TERMS
    1. Term: Monthly ongoing services as long as Subscriber is in good standing.
    2. Termination: Subscriber may terminate services at any time.
    3. Input for Initiatives: Headline Channel will take the lead on all initiatives and will be proactive in soliciting information/input from Subscriber as needed. When soliciting input, Headline Channel will strive to be as clear and concise as possible; in return, the Subscriber should endeavor to provide as much information as is needed in as timely a manner as is practical.
    4. Non-Payment: Headline Channel reserves the right to withhold services during any period of non-payment. Services will restart immediately upon resumption of current and back payment.
    5. Ownership: Subscriber owns all assets delivered by Headline Channel, including designs, software, content, and domains. Headline Channel will turn over access to assets at end of the service relationship and upon payment of any outstanding balances.
    6. Referrals: Subscriber will receive a one-month credit (i.e. skip a monthly payment cycle) for the recommendation of any potential firm client that results in at least six months of service, after which the credit will be applied.
    7. Confidentiality: Client confidentiality is assured and Headline Channel will not represent this relationship, beyond generic and non-identifiable descriptions, without prior written consent of the Subscriber.
    8. Nondisclosure: The commencement of a Subscription serves as a two-way Nondisclosure Agreement. Any and all materials and information exchanged between the parties will be kept in confidence.
